Annie is one of three small dogs that were dumped in an unpopulated area of the mountain. This area is more desert-like than the rest of the mountain, and is frequented by Rattle Snake, Mountain Lion, Bob-Cat and Coyote. We don't know how long they were there before someone saw them, but it took us 5 days to catch them, as they were so frightened, they would not allow us to get close enough to touch them. We asked help from a professional rescuer who got two of the three, and we finally got the 3rd one. Now they are safe. Annie would be the ideal companion for a retired or disabled person. She is a lap lover and never wants to leave your side. She loves to be held and cuddled. She is definitely a lap dog. She is a little intimidated with walking on leash; she would much rather be carried and held. The vet staff believe they are between 4 - 5 yrs. old, and they are "piddle pad" trained. Annie wants to be held, and she will stand on her hind legs begging you to pick her up. When she is in your arms, she "hugs" you. One leg on each side of your neck. She snuggles herself into your neck and chest. She trusts women over men. We are hoping to place Wesson and Annie together if possible.
